THE BELIEVERS

II got believers on my front porch.
I'm going to leave the door wide open,
so they can all come in and sit down
and talk with a circle of friends.
I said no need to be shy,
won’t you step up ... step up ... and step on in.
Cousin, pull up a chair,
you and your friends you are always welcome here.
I'm mixing this up with dubstep and gospel.
I'm going to call it dubstep from the apostle.
My shield,
strength,
and salvation,
my strong hold in whom I trust, my sovereign savior,
won’t you come on in?
I left the door wide open,
thank you for my saving grace,
I feel like I fell in straight from the gates.
So, the next time ungodliness makes you afraid.
All you need is a little bit of scripture.
to make the devil flee
Stomp him out
and stand firm on your faith and believe.
On the upmost high father God who art in heaven
I thank him for leading the way
because I know I'm going to be okay
Then lightning lit up the sky.
The earth shook and trembled.
The foundations were shaken.
My brother looked up and said,
Please Lord save her. ...
He threw me the book.
All it took was one look,
I was memorized.
I was hooked with the bat of my eyes,
Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth —
that's all I needed.
So, I want to thank my father God who art in heaven
for sending the believers to my front porch
So, the next time believers come knocking on your front door,
you might as well
leave the door wide open.
Invite them in for a spot of tea
and let the prayer circle begin.
