It’s early morning in the rural valley, and the first rays of the sun are shining into the orchard. The light is radiant on the plentiful crop of luscious apples. The dew is sparkling like diamonds on the uniform towers of rugged, weathered harvest bins.
The pilgrimage of the bins to the life-giving fields symbolizes the approach of a new harvest season. The days grow shorter, the nights are cooler, and the crop of the Savior is ripe.
The craftsmanship of each bin was far and above expectations and built for those who serve the Lord. The weathered bins are a collective legacy of first fruits from the holy roots of the fruit-bearing trees. Beautiful wood grains and colors hold memories of harvests gone by that bring us together in love, peace, and joy.
A soft breeze whispers a story through the rift in the bins. A soothing love song, a peaceful sound, like a melody born on the wind. Like the Savior’s voice, it stirs our hearts with the aromas of sweet spices.
The harvest celebration begins by selecting the best fruit that is produced by the pruned branches. The orchard is pruned during the winter months of the dormant season to renew the fruitfulness of the trees. As God prunes the branches and thins the blossoms in the spring, spiritual fruit is brought forth to maturity.
The fellowship labors with harmony that shines forth so rich and full. Every apple is picked with humility and grace, honoring the ways of the past. Harvesting is an overflowing of spiritual blessings, healing, and redemption, an expression of tenderness and purpose.
The precious fruit is placed delicately in the care of the old grey weathered bins. Each plentiful bin is a symbol of love, peace, joy, and faith. Seeds of holiness are inside of each generous apple, ready to be tasted by everyone everywhere.
The bins surround and protect the gifts of the Lord that change the world. The purpose of our significance and journey can be found inside the grey weathered bins that shine so beautifully in the early morning sun. | GB
