Although it’s true
You don’t have to lose to gain
Sometimes a great loss
Can bring about great change.
In all the things I’ve lost,
There’s a lesson to be learned.
Sometimes to open doors,
There are bridges to be burned.
Nothing lasts forever,
So enjoy it while you can,
Keep memories like treasures,
Trust in the larger plan.
Know the only love
withstands the test of time,
But love without loss
is brittle not refined.
Loss can build you up,
or loss can break you down,
Accepting loss for what it is,
